All Day

Yaaaaaayyy!!!! It’s nearly time for camp!! This is the third year we’ll be running our family and kids camping trip, and the anticipation just seems to be building and building for this one

LET’S GO CAMPING!!!!!

You’ll get to …… relax with your friends, let the kids run free and play in the large field, go for walks in the peaceful forest, pick blackberries, chose from a number of fun organised activities, hang out at the campfire and meditate, eat lovely, fresh, camp-cooked vegetarian food, bask under a sunny sky, occasionally get rained on, walk barefoot, read silly books to each other and laugh your head off, play card games and outfox your friends, eat campfire-burnt marshmallows, play football ALL DAY if you like, get paper, paint and pens out and do art by the campfire, see and hear the wildlife, make daisy chains, turn cartwheels, be part of the open blue sky and the green trees and grass all around you, sleep in a tent and start to feel part of nature again, and you know, just be a simple human for a change!!!

FAQ:

Who can come? Families and lone kids generally over the age of 5.
Where is it?  Our favourite local green space: Well End Scout Activity Centre, Well End, Borehamwood, WD6 5PR.      http://www.wellend.org.uk/

  • Older kids: Archery, Air Rifles, Climbing

  • Big Kids (ie Adults) are welcome to join in too!!

How much does it cost? £10 per person per day (including staying overnight, which you will LOVE to do …).  You can visit for just an hour or two, or stay as long as you like.  All activities, use of the open spaces on site, camping fee and food are included in the price.  No charge for babies and children younger than 5.

Will there be spiders? Undoubtedly, but you’re much bigger than they are – be brave, little soldier!
